I need an excuse to buy these

All I can say is WOW! Wouldn't these make beautiful table numbers for a wedding? The most amazing part is they are all hand cut. Holy cow...what patience that would take.

You can find these and many more at ETSY shop Papercut.

I adore this one....make a wish!!!!

Thanks Mr. Mailman

A few weeks ago I mentioned the Press and Post letterpress subscription I signed up for through Sarah Parrot.

Well, the other day I received my first installment in the mail. Its really cute...the card features a little yellow bird on a white card. I also received some .22 cent stamps. Doing a little research I found that it was the going postage rate from 1985 - 1988.

Now I just need to decide who to write a letter to....hmmmmm

I got the memo

An old friend told me about a cool site called Fishs Eddy. They have an entire line of dishware dedicated to paper. So cool! How awesome are the cheese plates that look like memo paper. I also love the mug that looks like a composition book. Wouldn't it be a cool gift for a teacher?

Im baaaaack!!!

Sorry for the radio silence but i've been away for a few weeks and also I lost my job so wasn't really in the mood for blogging. But, im back! Feeling optimistic about finding something new and am in the blogging saddle again. Yeehaw!

Here is one of my newest finds...it isnt really paper related but its still cute!

After being in and out of airports several times over the past 3 weeks I have been thinking about getting a cute luggage tag (so I can spot my bag out of the millions of other black ones). Having a matching passport holder wouldn't be a bad idea either.

How I love thee

These letterpress recipe cards are adorable. I must get some! The only issue is that my handwriting sucks so im afraid of marring the beautiful cards with my chicken scratch. Oh bother.

You can find these at Petite Press. But, according to the Paper Crave blog they are sold out. Boooo! Im sure they will come back in stock soon. One can only hope.

Chic family trees

I have always wanted to chart my family tree. Im pretty lame because I hardly know anything about my history.

I saw these really cool custom genealogy charts from Melangerie over on the What Junebug Loves! blog. These might inspire me to dig in to my past.

I would love one for my house. They would also make a wonderful gift.

They can also make these in to wedding seating charts. How cool!

Uncrappy letterpress

The footnotes collection of cards from Old Tom Foolery make me laugh. With their "unsappy, uncrappy letterpress" motto...they are right up my ally.

Here are a few of my favorites...its hard to pick just one.

"Im forever indebted. * By forever, I just mean until you finish reading this card. Then we're square"

"Im head over heels. *Which just means im standing up if you really think about it"

"Thanks a million. * Must you always be so goddamn nice"

"Another year wiser. * By "wiser" I mean "more saggy"

"Its your birthday. *Wow, you were born. Whoopee"

This one makes me think of my friend Sara.

Happy Hanukkah. *Or is it Chanukah? Wait, I think its Hanukkah. Screw it - just have a happy one"

I could spend lots of money on these cards. They have so many funny ones. You can also find more great letterpress items at their ETSY shop.

Thank you, thank you, thank you

My Mom always forced me to write thank you cards growing up. I hated it...but now that im an adult im glad she instilled that in me. I feel guilty if I don't send one and LOVE getting them from friends. Im always looking for cute cards and of course, the letterpress ones are my favorite.

This "You rock" card from Sweet Letterpress is really cute.

A plant I cant kill

I know these are not paper related but they are so adorable and creative I had to post them. I really want one. Im such a brown thumb that anything "plant like" that wont die gets a thumbs up from me.

These little bundles of cuteness are from ETSY shop La Pomme. I LOVE the one with the mini smurf. It reminds me of my childhood. I wanted to be Smurfette so bad!

I first saw these over on freshly{blended}. Which is a super cute blog by the way.

Daily mantra

I love a good daily mantra...this is one of my favorites.

The slogan originated back to WWII . It was a propaganda poster intended by King George VI to keep the citizens calm during the impending war.

There are many many reproductions of the original poster and even a website totally dedicated to the slogan.

I really want to buy one but cant decide on the color. ETSY shop Sfgirlbythebay has them in every hue. Im torn between the green, orange and silver. Hmmmmm...decisions, decisions.
